Hook Up Blind - Conniston (cont'd), the Ditsy Collection by Art of the Loom
  • Hook Up Blind - Conniston (cont'd), the Ditsy Collection by Art of the Loom

Do you like the clean lines and styling of Roman Blinds but not the fussy construction or high price tag?  Hook up blinds could be just what you are looking for.

Hook up blinds follow the same constructions principles as Roman Blinds but hang and hook up by means of eyelet hooks and d rings. No cords (always a risk with small ones or pets onboard), velcro or complicated mechanisms to contend with. The blackout lining has 2 channels which contained a fibreglass blind rod, which is then handstitched into place.  Pockets top and bottom hold aluminium bars, ensuring the blind maintains its shape and hangs well.  Magnets can be added to the sides and bottom (additional cost) of the blind to allow it to follow the sloping walls of the boat.  The magnets are added into the lining, maintaining the clean lines of the blind.

D rings, in gunmetal, chrome or bronze are added to the front of the blind (6 per blind up to 80cm, 9 per blind on 100cm and 120cm blinds, 12 per blind on 140cm).  Eye hooks screwed into the window frame, or above if suitable, hold the blinds in place and the hooks simply hook up onto them.  You can have the blinds fully lowered, fully raised or in between.
